Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, just until fragrant—don’t let it brown. Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar to form a thick glaze.
  3. Place chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish and season both sides with salt and pepper. Spoon the garlic brown sugar mixture evenly over each piece of chicken.
  4. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the glaze is bubbling. Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  5. Spoon pan juices over the chicken before serving for extra flavor.

Notes

  • For extra caramelization, broil the chicken for 2–3 minutes at the end—watch closely!
  • Chicken thighs can be used in place of breasts—adjust cook time as needed.
  • Add-ons: Sprinkle with fresh herbs like parsley or rosemary before serving.
  • Pair it with rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted veggies for a full meal.
  • Storage: Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat gently to preserve moisture.
