Method
- Mix yeast, water, and sugar. Let foam. Combine dry dough ingredients. Add yeast mix, butter, oil. Knead into a dough. Let rise.
- Make sauce by cooking garlic in oil, adding tomatoes and seasoning. Simmer.
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Oil a deep-dish pan. Press dough into it.
- Add mozzarella, then sausage and toppings. Spread sauce over it. Sprinkle Parmesan.
- Bake 25–30 minutes. Let cool before slicing.
Notes
- Use part-skim mozzarella for less grease.
- Pre-cook vegetables to avoid extra moisture.
- For extra crisp crust, bake on lower oven rack.
