Crockpot Barbecue Ribs

Ingredients
  

  • 2 racks baby back ribs 4 lbs
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper optional
  • 2 cups barbecue sauce

Method
 

  1. Remove membrane from ribs. Pat dry.
  2. Mix all dry rub ingredients and coat both sides of ribs.
  3. Place ribs in crockpot. Pour 1.5 cups BBQ sauce over them.
  4. Cover and cook on low 6–8 hours or high 3–4 hours.
  5. Optional: Broil with extra sauce for 5 minutes to caramelize.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Broiling adds a crispy, sticky finish.
  • Use different BBQ sauces to change the flavor profile.
