Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 5 garlic cloves minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth or white wine for extra flavor
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning or thyme
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Method

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice. Stir in Italian seasoning and simmer for 2–3 minutes to reduce slightly.
  5. Return chicken to the pan and spoon garlic butter sauce over the top. Let simmer for 2–3 more minutes to soak up the flavors.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta to soak up the sauce.
  • Add mushrooms or spinach for a vegetable twist.
  • For a creamy version, stir in a splash of cream with the broth.
  • This dish pairs beautifully with roasted veggies or a simple salad.
