Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour for dredging
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice about 2 lemons
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley optional
  • Lemon slices for garnish optional

Method
 

Prepare Chicken:
  1. Pound chicken breasts to even thickness if needed.
  2. Season with salt and pepper, then lightly dredge in flour.
Cook Chicken:
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Sear chicken breasts 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  3. Remove chicken and set aside.
Make Lemon Sauce:
  1. In the same pan, reduce heat and add butter and garlic. Cook 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice. Stir in lemon zest.
  3. Simmer 4–5 minutes, scraping the bottom of the pan to deglaze.
Finish the Dish:
  1. Return chicken to the skillet and let it simmer in the sauce for another 3–4 minutes.
  2. Spoon sauce over chicken and garnish with parsley and lemon slices.

  • Pair with: Rice, roasted vegetables, or pasta.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Tip: For extra richness, stir in 2 tbsp heavy cream at the end.
